Credentialing & Privileging
The framework for assessing a doctor's competence before granting the right to perform circumcision procedures at a facility.
What is C&P
Credentialing is the process of verifying a doctor's qualifications: medical degree, MMC registration, circumcision training and case-log records. Privileging is the decision to grant the right to perform specific procedures at a specific facility, based on those verified qualifications.
Both are separate from MADOCS membership. Membership is a relationship with the society; C&P is a clinical competence assessment that allows a doctor to perform procedures at a hospital or clinic.
MADOCS C&P process
iHealth portal
MADOCS uses the iHealth system to manage C&P: candidate registration, document uploads, assessment schedules and decision records. Candidates registered through the secretariat will be contacted and given portal access.
Privacy and data limits
Patient data, case logs and candidate logbooks remain within facility and health authority systems. The MADOCS website does not store patient data. Once a list of privileged doctors is approved for publication, this page will show only name, state and validity date.
